About

Do you feel like you’re constantly anxious or overwhelmed? Like you overthink everything but still feel stuck? Like your body feels tense, restless, in shut down, or like it could explode at any moment? Or like you’ve tried therapy before - but talking about things doesn’t seem to help? You’re not broken. Your nervous system is overwhelmed. At MEM Counseling, Mary Elizabeth takes an integrative approach to walk alongside you as you navigate the difficulties of life. Together, we work towards finding peace in the midst of hardship, understanding your body’s signals, processing stress and trauma safely, and feeling more present, peaceful, and in control. Mary Elizabeth specializes in anxiety and chronic stress, trauma and PTSD, emotional regulation, and burnout. Therapy with her is collaborative, practical, and body aware - we’ll move at your pace, always. On a more personal note, Mary Elizabeth believes in the power of therapy because she's seen its healing effects in her client's lives as well as her own. When she isn't working, you can find her spending time with her family or enjoying one of her “grandma” hobbies.
